Easily load and unload kayaks and boards at waist level at the side of the vehicle with the easy to use slide and tilt mechanism. To load, the mount tilts down 26 from the roof rack and provides 30-45% weight assistance (depending on boat width) as it helps gently raise it to the top of the vehicle. The ShowDown can securely handle 80 lbs allowing it to easily cradle a large kayak or two paddleboards.

The Yakima BoatLoader retracts into the Yakima round cross bar when not in use. Extends 28 from end of crossbar to support even the largest canoes and kayaks. Helpful in getting heavy loads onto taller roof tops. Solid steel bar has an aluminum over-sleeve for corrosion resistance and boat finish protection.
